About

About me, Michael Dew
I grew up in Sumter, SC and on a small farm in Ashwood, SC. I attended Sumter City Schools and went on to the University of South Carolina and received a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the School of Business in 1972. Upon graduation I moved to Charleston and went to work with Ford Motor Credit Company where I stayed for 17 years. I started as a Collector was promoted to Credit Supervisor for the Southeastern South Carolina region and then was promoted again to the Dealer Account Manager/Sales Representative for the lower half of South Carolina where I handled all credit lines and mortgage loans for all Ford Dealers. In 1991 I was asked to be a partner in a Moncks Corner Ford Dealership and agreed to become managing partner until August 15, 2005. At that time I sold my interest in the dealership, but decided I was too young to retire.
I have always loved Buying and Selling houses through the years (by that time I had acquired and sold over 20 properties) and I wanted to utilize my sales experience in the field of real estate. I think real estate enables me to use my 35 years of finance experience and my 20 years of sales experience from the dealership. I helped close over 5,000 transactions in the dealership so I know how to negotiate and work with people.
I find that all my jobs, although different, come down to the same end result – TRUST, RESPECT, KNOWLEDGE. I am dealing with my same clients in the real estate career that I did in my dealership days. I love to get the phone call from a previous client saying “You took care of me in the car business. I know you will take care of me in the real estate business.”
I look forward to helping you find a home or sell a home. I will make sure that I use my knowledge and skills that I posess to exceed your expectations of a real estate professional.

My Mission Statement

I want to make sure you feel that I have exceeded your expectations for service, knowledge and integrity. I want to be 1st on your mind when it comes to real estate needs for family and friends. I pledge to use all my skills and knowledge to make your Real Estate transaction a pleasant and rewarding experience. The greatest compliment I can receive is when a client refers a relative or friend to me for services.
